When you serve in the executive branch, you are required to take the oath on the first day. His oath is not to the President of the United States, but to the Constitution and the American people. When Emily accepted this leadership role, she also accepted the responsibility of making the tough choices. This is one of those moments.
Make no mistake, I absolutely want the Trump campaign to expose fraud, if any. As a father, small business owner, and a life-long Republican, I don’t want a Joe Biden presidency. I just don’t agree with Joe Biden on how to move America forward. But, as an American, I know that elections have consequences and my support for our Constitution outweighs my anguish about who will be in the Oval Office.
I don’t like writing this. But barring a miracle, Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States. I know that many Trump supporters might call me RINO for this.
Let me be clear, I don’t care.
I have served in the executive branch, have seen the work involved, know the importance of transition, and can no longer remain silent.
