World Food Program (WFP) Director David Beasley warned that a severe famine is expected next year.
In an interview with the Associated Press (AP) agency, Beasley, the American executive director of the Rome-based WFP, said this year’s Nobel Peace Prize winner serves as a megaphone to warn WFP world leaders. that next year will be worse than this year.

Beasley said world leaders have been able to prevent this famine epidemic in 2020 by providing money and stimulus packages.
Drawing attention to the increase in cases of Kovid-19, Beasley pointed out that the economies of low- and middle-income countries in particular have deteriorated as a result of the outbreak.
Beasley said curfew has begun and work has been stopped.
Pointing out that the money they can reach this year will not be in 2021, Beasley said everyone wanted to meet the Nobel Peace Prize winner, so they benefited from the Nobel Prize to meet the leader and speak in parliaments.
Beasley pointed out that in this way he was able to tell the leaders how difficult next year will be in terms of famine.

Stating that if they don’t reach enough money, about 30 countries could enter famine conditions, Beasley also explained that thanks to the Kovid-19 vaccine there could be leaps in economies around the world.
Beasly also estimated that 2021 will be a bad year with the time of delayed debt payments for low- and middle-income countries.
The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the United Nations World Food Program in October.
