Outgoing US President Donald Trump’s campaign filed a lawsuit in the Wisconsin Supreme Court on Tuesday, the day after that state certified the November 3 election results, in which Democrat Joe Biden won, claiming that there was an election fraud.

The Trump campaign claims these actions resulted in the loss of “no less than 221,000 votes” of the 3 million cast in Wisconsin.
Without providing evidence, the outgoing president’s team accused the Wisconsin Electoral Commission of asking city employees to illegally alter incomplete absentee ballot envelopes, contrary to state law.

“Employees who could rely on their ‘personal knowledge’ or ‘unspecified lists or databases at their disposal’ were ordered to add missing information from returned absentee ballots,” Trump’s campaign said. .
They also accused city officials in the cities of Madison and Milwaukee of voting for absent without requiring the necessary written request to do so.
On Monday, Wisconsin certified the election result and confirmed that Biden won the majority of votes and the ten constituency members that match the state, yet another setback in Trump’s strategy to prevent the Democrat’s victory from being formalized.
Trump has so far failed to acknowledge his defeat in the elections, arguing, without evidence, that there was electoral fraud, especially in the postal ballot, which is crucial because of the pandemic, and has filed several lawsuits in key states, which have mostly fired by the courts.

In the last week, the results were made official in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia, three of the key states that Trump lost in the elections and that are the basis of the Democrat’s victory.
His team, led by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, only has until December 8 to develop their legal strategy.
All states would have to resolve any disputes that day and the governor of each territory must send the certified results to Congress.

Trump has tried to frustrate the electoral bureaucracy because, once each state’s count is confirmed, on December 14 they hand over delegates to their correspondents within the Electoral College system and relay the result to Senate President and Vice President, Mike Pence, January 6.
Once it is confirmed that Biden surpasses 270 electoral votes, the president-elect will inaugurate his term in a ceremony outside the Capitol on January 20.
The results put Biden with 306 votes against Trump’s 232.
