Contamination with the new coronavirus in Italy is on the rise again. In the past 24 hours, 37,242 new cases and 699 deaths have been recorded, as 12,000 fewer tests were performed, according to Mediafax.

The regions with the greatest increase in new cases in the last 24 hours are Lombardy (9,221) and Campania (4,226) – both up significantly compared to Thursday – followed by Piedmont (3,861) and Veneto (3,468), according to the ANSA Agency.
After a few days of decline, the incidence of positive cases starts to rise again: it reached 15.6% against 14.4% on Thursday.

There are 36 more patients in intensive care than on Thursday, for a total of 3,748.
