Donald Trump had particularly high hopes for Amy Coney Barrett. “I think these elections will go to the Supreme Court and it is important that we then have nine judges,” the president of the United States said in September. Instead of the usual nine constitutional judges, only eight judges did their job due to one death. Above all, there was no reliable Conservative majority.
