The arrival of several covid-19 vaccines should not cause the population to let their guard down in the fight against the pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned today.
“Vaccines do not mean zero covid,” said Mike Ryan, WHO health emergency officer, noting that vaccines alone “will not be able to do this job.”

“The decisions we make now (…) can mean life or death for us, for our family,” the WHO official said.
