Donald Trump’s lawyers are very busy right now and are doing everything they can to avoid defeat of the Republicans. Lawsuits have already been filed in Pennsylvania and Michigan, probably without a legal basis.

The US election thriller is not finished even after almost two weeks from the announcement of the winner. Trump’s lawyers have filed lawsuits in several swing states to overturn the election results. In Michigan, his lawyers have now withdrawn a lawsuit, as “Focus” writes. As a result, they were able to prevent the results from being confirmed in a major district. However, it is unclear whether this is actually the case, as the US media writes.

In Wayne County, Michigan, two Republican election commission members refused to approve the district’s results. According to Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, however, there is no legal means by which members of an election commission can overrule their confirmation of the results.

According to the Washington Post, Trump called a member of the election commission and said he refused to accept defeat and “election fraud.” No evidence of electoral fraud has yet been found.

Legal action also taken in Pennsylvania

In the swing state of Pennsylvania, Trump also filed a lawsuit after voter votes went in Joe Biden’s favor. Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, called the charge that the election result in the state should not be confirmed. Instead, the Pennsylvania parliament, where Republicans have a majority, should vote for the voters. 20 voter votes would be affected.

On Twitter, Trump announced a press conference for the Republican National Committee (RNC) and its lawyers on Thursday – and pointed to a “clear path to a presidency victory.” He also spoke in additional tweets where he again referred to election fraud in Pennsylvania and Georgia. There is no official confirmation from the electoral committee regarding possible election fraud or investigation into it.

At the press conference in Washington, DC. On Thursday, Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani said election fraud did not just occur in individual states, but in all. However, he could not provide a legal basis for this hypothesis.
