A U.S. federal judge has rejected an emergency request from Donald Trump’s campaign team to stop ballot counting in Philadelphia until Republican observers are in attendance, Reuters reports Friday.

Trump’s team had previously filed a lawsuit with the Philadelphia County Electoral Commission Federal Court asking for an emergency order, according to Agerpres.
Trump’s team said the electoral authorities “intentionally refuse to allow access to any electoral representative and observer of President Trump and the Republican party.”
“As established at today’s hearing, in light of the parties’ agreement, the plaintiff’s request was rejected,” said District Judge Paul Diamond in an order issued Thursday evening.
A Pennsylvania appeals court had previously decided to allow more Republican observers to enter the Philadelphia building where votes were counted.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) reported that approximately 1,700 ballots were identified at Pennsylvania mail processing centers during two checks on Thursday and that the ballots were handed over to election officials. .
Trump has repeatedly asserted, without presenting evidence, that postal voting is subject to fraud, although experts say such cases are rare in US elections.
His team also lost Thursday’s lawsuits in the heavily contested states of Georgia and Michigan.
