Three people died and several were injured in a knife attack near the cathedral in Nice, France on Thursday morning. According to the French press, two of the three dead were beheaded.
Nice-Matin said two people were killed inside the cathedral and another died in a nearby bar where he took refuge after being attacked. According to the mayor of Nice, the church guard is one of the fatal victims.
The suspect in the attack was shot and killed by the police. Eventually he was arrested and taken to hospital.
