Joe Biden strengthened his victory in the US presidential election by getting 306 votes to Donald Trump’s 232 after being cast by all state media, according to AFP.
Ten days after the vote, on Friday the main US media were able to decide the winner in the last two still pending states: Georgia, which ended up in the hands of Biden, and North Carolina, won by Trump.
The new announcements do not change the result of the vote that had already been announced on Saturday, after Biden had obtained the 270 electors (out of 538) needed to enter the White House.
The Democrat has won a total of 25 states (and the federal capital, Washington), including five that Trump won in 2016 against Hillary Clinton: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Trump also won the most votes in 25 states, including Florida and Texas.
Below is the list of states won by the two candidates according to media projections based on official non-definitive results. In brackets is the number of major voters or electoral votes obtained by the state for each candidate.

* Nebraska and Maine are the only two states that don’t give all of their constituents to the candidate who wins the popular vote. Delegates were assigned to both candidates, primarily for Trump in Nebraska and for Biden in Maine.
Trump remains reluctant
US President Donald Trump was close to admitting losing the November 3 election to Joe Biden on Friday, but ultimately only stressed: “time will tell.”
Trump, who has not yet congratulated his rival, declared the winner on Saturday according to media projections based on official results, spoke from the White House gardens to report on the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We will not go into isolation,” he promised. “I will not go there. This government will not go to an arrest.”
“Hopefully what will happen in the future, who knows what government it will be, I guess time will tell,” he added.
Biden consolidated his triumph on Friday by winning a total of 306 electoral votes to Trump’s 232, according to reports from major television networks, after declaring the Democrat the winner in Georgia and the Republican in North Carolina.
Electoral College, made up of 538 members, is the institution charged with formally deciding who has won the presidency of the United States. Its members are awarded on the basis of popular vote.
Over the past ten days, Trump has repeated over and over on Twitter that he won re-election, simultaneously pushing for lawsuits to contest the results without significant evidence.
