US President Donald Trump announced on his Twitter account that he had granted a “total truce” to his former national security adviser Michael Flynn and wished him a happy Thanksgiving. In late 2017, Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts in the 2016 presidential election. However, Flynn later denied his statement and tried to dismiss the case. In a twist this spring, the Department of Justice dismissed the case, which still remains in legal limbo.
