US President Donald Trump announced today Tuesday that five or six other Arab countries are preparing to sign normalization agreements with Israel, after the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
“We have made great progress with about five countries, five more countries,” Trump said in the Oval Office as he received Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the sidelines of the signing of the UAE-Israel peace treaty, adding, “We have at least five or six countries that will join us soon. A lot, we have already started consulting ”, without naming these countries.
“I think Israel is no longer isolated,” Trump said.
Furthermore, Trump did not rule out the possibility of reaching an agreement with the Palestinians themselves.
He said: “The Palestinians will certainly become members. I am not saying this for pride. I assure you that the Palestinians will be part of (an agreement) at the appropriate time.”
