Trump calls Fox News and continues to talk about “massive fraud”

US President Donald Trump said Sunday he would not give up on rejection of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory, insisting on allegations of alleged election “fraud”, although courts have downplayed his campaign allegations.

“My opinion won’t change in six months,” Trump said in a phone call to conservative television network Fox News, the first since the November 3 election.

“There has been a huge amount of fraud … huge fraud,” he added.

Trump’s renewed criticism in this interview runs counter to court rulings that dismissed his team’s “fraud” allegations for lack of evidence.

“Saying an election is unfair doesn’t make it that way. The allegations require specific allegations and therefore evidence. We don’t have either of them here.” Judge Stephanos Bibas of the Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) Court of Appeals, appointed by President Trump himself for the post, said Friday.

On Thursday, Trump signaled that he would step down if the constituency voted for Democrat Joe Biden.
