US Presidential candidate Donald Trump for the Justice Minister's office, William Barr, does not want to exert any influence in his words on Russia's investigation of the FBI. This is very important for America.

(AP) "Under my supervision, Bob (the FBI Special Investigator Robert Mueller) will be able to complete his work," Barr wrote in a statement prepared for his Senate hearing this Tuesday, published by CNN. The Senate must confirm Barr's office. The candidate also made it clear that he did not want to keep Mueller's final report under tight control.

"I think it's very important for the public and the congress to be informed about the results of the special researcher's work," Barr wrote. "If I am confirmed, I will not allow the politics of parties, personal interests or any other improper consideration to interfere with this or other investigations".

Mueller is investigating whether there has been a collusion with Trump's camp and representatives of Russia in the 2016 presidential election campaign. Trump denies this and calls the investigation a "witch hunt". The former justice minister Jeff Sessions had to go in November for months of criticism from the president. The reason for Trump's dissatisfaction was, among other things, that Sessions had proclaimed himself biased in investigating Mueller and handed oversight to his deputy Rod Rosenstein.

Barr has criticized Mueller's research in the past. In the prepared statement he wrote that he had never challenged Mueller's investigations with his criticism. It was in the best interest of the President, Congress and the American people that the question was settled by Mueller who completed his work. Barr was formerly Minister of Justice under President George H. W. Bush in the early 1990s.
