José Luís Carneiro, Secretary of State for the Portuguese communities, announced this Wednesday in London the cancellation of the next trip to Venezuela which will begin next Saturday.
The reason for the cancellation of the visit was caused by security problems, as large demonstrations are planned next week.
The Secretary of State would be accompanied by the director of the communities of Madeira, Sancho Gomes.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of the briefing that is taking place at the Embassy of Portugal in London.
