Blockchain Association called on the institutions to participate
Recently, a new blockchain association has been opened in Mexico, made up of seven founding members including companies such as GBM, Lvna Capital, Bitso, ConsenSys, Exponential Capital and BIVA. According to a Mexican Forbes article published November 28, 2018, the organization focuses on educating Mexican citizens about the benefits of Blockchain technology.
Educating the public on Blockchain technology is extremely important and is of high priority. According to the Mexican Blockchain Association, there are some fundamental goals that the company wants to achieve. This includes aspects such as the many uses of blockchain and its benefits for society.
The founder of Exponent Capital, Mouses Cassab, also recalled that a series of private equity together with members of the Blockchain Association recognize that the current applications of the Blockchain range from cost reduction, to the sending of payments across international borders and to the democratization of the current financial system.
According to Forbes, these use cases are made possible thanks to the Blockchain technology that has provided the trust and trust that companies, organizations and individuals need without the intervention of a third party as control agencies and brokers.
Felipe Vallejo, interim president of the Blockchain Association, said that this technology aims to create more transparency, security and more efficient procedures than those currently used in the financial sector.
The Mexican Blockchain community has ensured that the community maintains strict standards regarding the safe application and use of quality of Blockchain technology, as it evolves towards a more popular and traditional financial asset.
The Blockchain Association in Mexico is also involved in monitoring Know Your Customer (KYC) by avoiding the facilitation of illegal activities, such as avoiding money laundering or other illegal activities such as terrorist financing.
The Blockchain has inspired the Association
The organization started creating a Blockchain Association taking inspiration from other blockchain projects that are operational in other countries. Organizations such as Cryptovalley in Zug, Switzerland and the Korean Blockchain Association in South Korea along with the Congressional Blockchain in the United States are bringing the economy in a whole new direction.
According to the director of BIVA, Maria Ariza, the Associations should be placed in a place where the Community Blockchain can share ideas and discuss important issues related to public policies. Maria wants to see the Association present its ideas and opinions on the issues that must be resolved freely.
The Mexican Blockchain Association started with only seven members and is now open to other organizations and entities that are willing to join this revolution in the global financial system. The group is open to new incoming members as the organization sees Blockchain technology applied in all industries worldwide.
