The motion of censure against Theresa May's government was rejected

The British Parliament rejected the motion of censure filed by the Labor opposition against Theresa May's government on Wednesday, with a vote of 19 votes, Wednesday evening.

The executive remains in charge and will have to find solutions to overcome the impasse in the Brexit procedure after the agreement negotiated with the EU by Theresa May was dismissed Tuesday evening.

Soon after discovering the result, Theresa May announced that a series of meetings with parliamentary and opposition leaders on the subject of Brexit will begin this evening.

"I am pleased that the proposal has been rejected, my government will continue to increase prosperity, guarantee our security and yes, we will also continue to work to respect the solemn promise made to the people of this country, to respect the outcome of the referendum and leave the European Union.

I have proposed a series of meetings in the coming days and I would like to invite the leaders of the parliamentary parties to participate in individual discussions. I want these meetings to start tonight, "said May.

But Labor's opposition leader, Jeremy Corbyn, said he will not take part in any conversation with Theresa May until he assures her that the UK will not leave the European Union without an agreement.

"Before we talk about the way ahead, the government must clearly remove the suspicions of a Brexit without agreement." The prime minister must confirm that the government will not accept Britain leaving the EU without an agreement, "said Corbyn.

Recall that the British Parliament rejected Tuesday the agreement negotiated with Theresa May for Brexit. It was a fierce defeat to the British Prime Minister, with only 202 votes in favor and 432 against, the noisiest vote against a government in the recent history of Great Britain.

Prime Minister Theresa May postponed the vote at the beginning of December, anticipating a failure, hoping that a month would give him time to negotiate with the EU and British leaders. None of these attempts had any result.

The darkest scenario is that of a Brexit without agreement, which would create chaos in the UK, and the wave of shock should hit the whole world, particularly Europe.
