About the "Merck More Than a Mother" campaign;
The "Merck More than a Mother" initiative aims to empower sterile women through access to information, education and health and by changing mental patterns. This powerful initiative supports governments in shaping policies to improve access to regulated, safe and effective fertility care. It defines interventions to break the stigma on infertile women and sensitizes prevention and management of infertility. In collaboration with the academic world, health ministries and international fertility societies, the initiative also provides education and medical training for health professionals and embryologists to build and promote fertility care in Africa and in developing countries.

With "Merck More than a mother", we initiated a cultural change to stigmatize infertility at all levels: by improving awareness, training the skills of local experts, building advocacy in cooperation with decision makers and supporting women without children in starting their own small business.
