Luis Motta Domínguez, the minister of electricity, reported that a man died during a clash with officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) after attempting to "sabotage" an electrical installation.
The minister explained, during a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), that six people entered the structure of Centro Plant, in the state of Carabobo, with the intention of stealing materials.
"You were captured, one of them is unfortunately dead, he's a human being, we have to regret, but he got the money for trying to sabotage the electrical systems," Dominguez said.
He also said that during the clash, three GNB officials were injured.
