The highest number of deaths recorded in 24 hours. The ATI sections are full

Authorities released a disturbing new report on Tuesday 10 November 2020 regarding the SARS-VOC-2 disease situation. 7,304 new cases and 177 deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours. Additionally, 1,093 patients are hospitalized at ATI.

Since the start of the pandemic to date, 314,295 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed in Romania.
211,408 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, they were recorded 7,304 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID – 19), these are cases that have not previously had a positive test.

Record of deaths in 24 hours

To date, 8,186 people have died diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Between 09.11.2020 (10:00) and 10.11.2020 (10:00) they were reported 177 dead (92 men and 85 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Arges, Bacau, Bihor, Bistrita-Nasaud, Botosani, Brasov, Buzau, Calarasi, Caras-Severin, Constanta, Covasna, Dambovita, Gorj, Harghita, Ialomita, Iasi, Maramures, Mehedinti, Olt, Prahova, Salaj, Satu-Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timis, Tulcea, Valcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 30-39 years, 6 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 12 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 47 deaths in the age category 60- 69 years, 67 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 42 deaths in the over 80 category.

160 of the recorded deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities and for 17 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

Many patients in ATI

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,727. Of these, 1,093 are hospitalized at ATI.

Incidence of over 6 per thousand, in four counties

The counties of Cluj, Salaj, Sibiu and Timis have an incidence of over 6 per thousand inhabitants.

According to the Strategic Communication Group report, 21 counties are in the red scenario, with a population of over 3 per thousand inhabitants.

The counties of Cluj, Salaj, Sibiu and Timis have rates of over 6 per thousand inhabitants. Bucharest reached 5.11 per thousand inhabitants.

The city of Bucharest is approaching a total of 45,000 cases, after 845 new diseases were reported on Tuesday 10 November. Four other counties – Cluj, Constanta, Olt and Timis – also reported a high number of new cases.

Alarming numbers of new diseases in several counties

The capital reached a total of 44,795 cases after another 845 new diseases were reported, with Bucharest reaching an incidence of 5.11 cases per thousand inhabitants.

To date, 3,519,095 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 31,005 were executed in the last 24 hours, 18,988 based on case definition and medical protocol and 12,017 upon request.

On the Romanian territory, 41,272 people confirmed infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home and 12,767 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 81,518 people are quarantined at home and there are 19 people in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 5,031 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1,234 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), which was opened specifically to inform citizens.

Almost 8,000 fines in 24 hours

Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and counter the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 9 this year, 7,927 fines, for a total of 1,111,531 lei.
Furthermore, through the competent police structures, 4 crimes were ascertained yesterday for combating the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 criminal code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be reported.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the local structures for the verification of the notified aspects.

Romanians abroad

As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,862 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in Great Britain, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one each in Argentina,

Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.

Among Romanian citizens confirmed with novel coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Coronavirus record in Romania

The highest number of daily cases to date was reported on November 6, 2020. No less than 10,260 new infections were registered in 24 hours.

On October 23, the largest number of tests was performed: 41,238, in 24 hours.

The highest number of deaths was recorded on November 4, 2020. Authorities then reported that 146 Romanians have died from the coronavirus.

The highest number of patients admitted to the ICU (1,076) was reported on November 9, 2020.

Worldwide, over 51 million people have been confirmed with the new coronavirus. Another 1.3 million died from COVID-19.

Of the more than 13.9 million active cases, more than 93,000 patients are in serious condition.

The most affected nations in the world are the United States, India and Brazil.

Romania ranks 30th in the world for the number of infections, according to centralized data on the worldometers.info platform.
