A chief physician who was accused of deliberately killing two patients who were under treatment with Covid-19 in Germany was arrested. In a statement made by the Essen prosecutor’s office and Essen police, it was alleged that the 44-year-old chief physician working at the Essen clinic deliberately and illegally administered drugs that caused death to his patients.

Two Covid-19 patients, aged 47 and 50, who had been treated in the intensive care unit, died on November 13 and 17.

It was stated in the suspected chief physician’s statement that he spoke of only one of the death cases and made a confession. In the doctor’s statement, whose arrest warrant was issued by the court on duty, it was reported that he wanted to end the pain of his patient, who was in a lot of pain.

In the statement released by the Essen University Clinic, it is stated that the arrested doctor’s head physician began work last February and “in two cases the possibility was stated that the doctor administered a substance to his dying patients to speed up the process of death”.

It is stated that the management of the clinic, suspected of deaths, immediately referred to the Prosecutor’s Office.
