Immense cryptographic exchange Coinbase is circulating this week. Just yesterday it announced that it was enabling GBP support for UK-based customers and today there is news of a new e-payment app for Web-based markets.

According to the company blog, Coinbase will offer a new functionality to enable cryptocurrency payments for merchants around the world. "We have worked hard over the past few weeks and are happy to announce a WooCommerce plug-in and some other new features," he said.

WooCommerce is one of the most popular e-commerce platforms on the web. It seamlessly integrates with WordPress that drives up to 30% of all websites based on reports. The blog states that e-commerce software covers about 28% of all online stores, but other statistics indicate that the penetration of WooCommerce could reach 37%. The platform website states that the software has been downloaded almost 50 million times. This is a huge number to be opened to cryptographic payments. Coinbase added;

"This increase in access will lead to more widespread adoption and ultimately bring us closer to our goal of an open financial system."

The plug-in was published on Coinith Github with instructions on how to add it to WordPress. It is hoped that most websites will allow cryptographic payments to increase overall adoption. A small button needs to be added to their websites to enable payments, the app does the rest. Plug-ins from other platforms could also be developing with Coinbase leading the way.

The company has also enabled extra functionality to allow the sending of Bitcoin and Litecoin directly from the new e-commerce platform, called Coinbase Commerce. He hopes to add support for Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash in the future.

He emphasized that all payments made through Coinbase Commerce were peer-to-peer. The funds are sent from the client's cryptographic portfolio directly to the merchant and processed via the blockchain app. "This means that traders must never pay transaction fees to accept payments and always have complete control over their funds," the blog added.

Coinbase is aggressively expanding its services and partnerships and with over 20 million users will be blessed for the adoption of cryptocurrency.
