The coronavirus vaccine created by US pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and Germany’s BioNTech could begin shipping later this year in the US or the European Union.
This was stated last Thursday by the founder and president of BioNTech, Ugur Sahin, in an announcement that fills a world hard hit by the pandemic with hope.
“There is a chance we can get clearance this year in the US or Europe, or both regions,” Sahin said in an interview with AFP.
The authorization application will be filed with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Friday.
