The clarification is given for the issue of Decree 1550 of November 28, 2020, by which the validity of Decree 1168 of August 25, 2020 is extended.
The new Decree extends the previous one until January 16, 2021.

As a result, it was claimed in some media and social networks that the bars and nightclubs would stop working from December 1st.
However, Manuel Pineda, president of Asobares Chapter Valle, said that institutes that have adopted all the biosecurity guidelines and protocols established by the Ministry of Health will continue to function as they have done so far.
“The decree basically what it does is expand selective isolation. For the night entertainment industry, the same measures continue,” he said.
It should be noted that thanks to this Decree, issued by the Ministry of the Interior on 28 November last, (with which instructions are given in the context of the health emergency generated by the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, and the maintenance of public order and selective isolation decrees with responsible individual distancing), in any municipality of the national territory, the following spaces or face-to-face activities can be enabled:
– Events of a public or private nature that involve an agglomeration of people, according to the provisions and protocols issued by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
– Discos and dance clubs.
– The consumption of intoxicating beverages in public spaces and shops. The sale of intoxicating drinks is not prohibited.
These measures seek to mitigate the effects of the viruses and prevent the increase in cases, which in the Valley alone caused 3,494 deaths and 108,058 people infected with the new coronavirus.
In addition, this Decree provides that mayors may request the Ministry of the Interior for authorization for the implementation of pilot plans in businesses and commercial premises that provide catering or bar services, for the consumption of intoxicating drinks inside the establishment. or premises.
