The agony of the powerful Lima Group

They recall the then powerful Lima Group (GL), created by the defeated Trump (president of the United States), Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (president of Peru), Enrique Peña Nieto (president of Mexico), Sebastián Piñera (president of Chile), Mauricio Macri (President of Argentina), Iván Duque (President of Colombia), among others. All with the orchestral direction of the OAS, as this group was created to overthrow Nicolás Maduro Moros (president of Venezuela).

Well, this group is dying and will be buried as another failed attempt at sabotage and interference in the internal affairs of those countries that do not abide by the guidelines issued by Washington. Furthermore, the fate of its members is disastrous:

– Trump will not only be expelled from the White House, but he will also be remembered as one of the most inept leaders the United States has ever ruled.

– Pedro Pablo Kuczynski was defeated and deposed for corruption. Martín Viscarra Cornejo, his replacement, was also deposed for corruption. Manuel Arturo Merino, who succeeded him, managed to rule only for five days (before the discontent of the crowd that took to the streets to ask for his resignation, he had to resign). Now, Francisco Rafael Sagasti, a right-wing moderate, university professor and former IDB adviser, will be in charge. He, of course, will try not to get into someone else’s trouble and to carry out at all costs the mandate initiated by the PPK, which has already left three leaders on the asphalt.

– Peña Nieto is involved in the defense of corrupt former officials of his government, against whom Manuel López Obrador (who does not play this shameful dish) has launched a campaign to make them pay their pilatunas.

– Sebastián Piñera, like Lenin Moreno, was appeased by the protests.

– Macri was defeated by the pupil of Cristina Fernández.

– Duque, who served as the group’s spokesperson, is trapped between political anger, violence, protests, the number of infections and deaths from the pandemic (which destroys the economy and makes nearly 35,000 families cry), the winter wave that causes turmoil throughout the national territory and the judicial insertion of its political leader.

All this leads us to say, without fear of making a mistake, that the Lima Group is dying and its fate is decided. Thus, the group that was characterized by the relentless practice of marketing and image policies, specifying ideas such as the formation of an interim government led by the opposition MP Juan Guaidó (which allowed them to appropriate the millionaire resources of the Venezuelan treasury in the territory of the United States and which allowed them to fight for the thirty-one tons of gold deposited in the Bank of England, estimated at one billion dollars), is not doing well.

It should be remembered that another idea with which he tried to attract supporters was the famous Venezuela Aid Live, sponsored by fellow adversary Leopoldo López, who recently fled the country to take refuge in Spain and whose spokesperson was hired by billionaire Richard Branson, owner of the Virgin Group, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Virgin Galactic, among others. The concert, which was attended by the presidents of Chile and Colombia, as well as Marco Rubio and some enrastrojado, was not only a failure, but also did not fulfill its purpose: that the alleged aid could enter the neighboring country. In this way, 22 February 2019 was consolidated as the group’s departure towards the imminent defeat.

Thus, it is not difficult to foresee that our Foreign Minister Carlos Holmes Trujillo, who is in the eye of the hurricane due to the various massacres, must resign himself to stop showing his chest in these spurious scenarios created by Maduro’s enemies. The latest defeats are overwhelming: they have been expelled from the Venezuelan embassy in Bolivia from where all household appliances and computer equipment have been stolen in a chain of shameful acts that were the gravediggers of the much publicized group.
