Sudan Sovereignty Council Chairman Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday discussed ways to remove Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism in the coming weeks.

According to a statement from the sovereign council, the two also discussed developments in Ethiopia and the need for a peaceful solution to the conflict in order to achieve regional peace and strengthen security in the region.

On October 23, US President Donald Trump decided to remove Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism after Sudan paid $ 335 million to American victims.
