Soldier committed suicide for alleged gang rape in the United States

A United States Army National Guard soldier took his own life after reporting that he was allegedly gang raped by her fellow soldiers.

“They wanted his body. And they took her soul, “her mother told CBS, accusing the military branch of not doing anything to help her daughter.

“To think this is what took her life, this is what broke her,” said Debbie Robinson. Agent Morgan Robinson’s mom.

The horror that led to Morgan Robinson’s suicide began two years ago when one of her supervisors allegedly raped and harassed her multiple times in Kuwait.

However, when Morgan reported the attacks, in the military they would do “nothing” to punish the supervisor or protect her, the mother says.

Time later, Robinson was sent to Afghanistan, where several soldiers allegedly gang raped her.

According to her mother, Morgan was scared and disappointed with the system to report it, so four months later she committed suicide.

“The army is responsible”

The United States Army launched an investigation into his untimely death, delivering a report to Debbie.

“Sergeant Robinson suffered sexual, physical and psychological trauma during the deployment. The aftermath of this trauma was a factor in his death, “says the CBS reporter.

For her part, the mother believes the military is responsible for Morgan Robinson’s death for not investigating her daughter’s first complaint.

For Debbie, since “they can’t investigate themselves,” there should be an outside agency investigating sexual assaults within the military.

The military responded in a statement that, thanks to the investigation into the sexual assault, “appropriate” measures were taken against the supervisor in question.
