Usually, the First Lady is on duty every day just before US presidential elections and campaigns. Melania Trump, on the other hand, is conspicuous by her absence. She has now appeared on a brief visit to Pennsylvania.

The First Lady’s smile looks a little pained when she stands in front of the crowd in Atglen, Pennsylvania, with an olive green coat and, as always, perfect makeup.

While her husband, the President of the United States, tirelessly and stubbornly moves from one election event to another these days, Melania Trump has been shining lately, mostly due to her absence. The 50-year-old has never attended a campaign rally or a fundraising event – both are normally a must for any first lady in the hot phase of the campaign.

17-minute campaign speech

But Ms. Trump clearly couldn’t avoid a Pennsylvania show. Your “campaign talk” lasted exactly 17 minutes. Fans were still excited. Melania Trump first thanked her for the love and support her family received during her crown sickness.

The First Lady’s last appearance on the campaign was almost exactly four years ago. He was also visiting Pennsylvania at the time. The state is known as the so-called “Battleground State”, which Donald Trump must win if he is to remain president of the United States.

The First Lady lashed out at the Democrats

As expected, the first lady adopted an emotional tone and expressed her condolences to the Americans who lost relatives during the crown pandemic. In doing so, however, he did not fail to denigrate his political opponent.

“The Democrats are putting their agenda before the common good of Americans. Instead, they are trying to create a split,” the First Lady said. She praised her husband as a fighter who loves his country and fights for his people – every day.

Less glamorous than the Obamas

For all the demonstrative support for the US president, there were also critical nuances to hear. “I don’t always agree with the way she says things,” the first lady said, referring to her husband’s often spiteful Twitter tirades.

Mr and Mrs Trump will probably never get close to the Obama charm and popularity. Indeed, there is always speculation that the marriage of the two will last at all.

Melania Trump has at least contributed her part in the election campaign. She too will ask herself: will it be enough to help her husband win the election?
