Cream punch is a typical Venezuelan drink that is usually consumed around Christmas time.
This creamy and sweet drink is ideal for the holiday season, so follow this recipe step by step to enjoy it with family and friends.
Ingredients:
- 1 liter of milk
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 bag of vanilla flavored flan (if you don’t want to use the flan, add another 4 egg yolks)
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of corn starch
- 1 cup of golden rum
Instructions:
- Put all the ingredients in a saucepan, except the rum, and cook over low heat.
- Stir constantly so that it doesn’t stick to the bottom, until it boils.
- After it boils, remove from heat. Let it come to room temperature and then place in the refrigerator.
- When it has cooled, add the rum and then mix in the blender to make it creamy.
- Then, pass the mixture through a colander to make sure there are no lumps.
- Finally it is bottled and refrigerated to be enjoyed cold.
