In a ceremony that took place virtually in Moscow, Russia, the best of the best in terms of destinations, hotels or airlines was announced.
Last year, Portugal won the award for the best destination in the world, for which it was nominated again this year. But it was the Maldives that took home the trophy for the best destination in the world for the first time in 2020. Last month, Portugal was voted the best destination in Europe.
Continuing in Portugal, Madeira stood out, once again, as the best island destination in the world, Lisbon won the title of best city for City break and the Algarve was voted the best beach destination in the world.
