While playing with his dog, United States President-designate Joe Biden (78) fell and had an accident.
US President-elect Joe Biden sprained his right ankle while playing with his German Shepherd and then consulted an orthopedic surgeon. The X-rays had not shown a recognizable break, Biden said in a Sunday night statement. Further examination with an MRI scanner is still pending, he said.
The 78-year-old was reportedly injured on Saturday while playing with his senior German Shepherd. Reporters who followed Biden to the practice in Newark, Delaware on Sunday could not see Biden enter the building.
Appointments on Monday
A representative from Biden’s office said the president-elect investigated the injury on Sunday, so appointments scheduled for Monday are not affected.
Democrat Biden and his wife Jill have two sheepdogs that are expected to move to the White House with them in January. The Bidens are also reportedly trying to get a cat.
