The BAG sent a statement to the cantons on Monday on the new restrictions. The “TagesAnzeiger” reported that, claiming to have the relevant document. This shows new rules for meetings in private families and restaurants. These are expected to be strengthened again, up to and including 23 December.

With the new restrictions, corona infections need to be reduced by Christmas so that more carefree family celebrations are possible without having to accept a bigger raise. The measure is based on the mini quarantine in Germany. However, this is a bit stricter – only five people from two families can meet.
There should also be a relaxation of the curfew on New Year’s Eve. Catering establishments should be able to stay open until 01:00. Currently there is a nationwide police hour at 23:00.
The number of corona cases had recently declined slightly after a sharp rise in late October. However, the decline has slowed and the figures currently remain at a high level.
