The authorities transmitted new worrying data on the evolution of the coronavirus in our country on Wednesday 11 November 2020. 9,799 new cases and 203 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours. There are 1,092 patients admitted to ATI.

According to data provided by the Strategic Communication Group, 324,094 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed in Romania since the beginning of the pandemic to date.

218,086 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, they were recorded 9,799 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

Record of deaths in 24 hours

To date, 8,389 people have died diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Between 10.11.2020 (10:00) and 11.11.2020 (10:00) they were reported 203 dead (116 men and 87 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Arges, Bacau, Bihor, Bistrita-Nasaud, Botosani, Braila, Brasov, Buzau, Calarasi, Caras-Severin, Constanta, Covasna, Dambovita, Dolj, Galati, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iasi, Maramures, Mures, Neamt, Olt, Prahova, Salaj, Satu-Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timis, Tulcea, Valcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, one death was recorded in the age group 20-29, three deaths in the age group 30-39, five deaths in the age group 40-49, 31 deaths in the age group 50-59, 48 deaths in the 60-69 age group, 57 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 58 deaths in the over 80 age group.

196 of the deaths recorded concerned some patients with comorbidities, five deceased patients did not have comorbidities and for two deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

Large number of patients at ATI

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,687. Of these, 1,092 are hospitalized at ATI.

To date, 3,557,958 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 38,863 were performed in the last 24 hours, 23,110 based on case definition and medical protocol and 15,753 upon request.

On the Romanian territory, 42,760 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 12,770 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 86,177 people are quarantined at home and 19 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

Incidence of over 7 per thousand in Sibiu County.

The capital and 21 counties are in the red scenario, after the contagion rate has exceeded 3 per thousand inhabitants in the last 14 days. A dramatic relationship is in Sibiu County, where the coefficient has gone from 7 per thousand. Three other counties have a rate of over 6 per thousand.

The areas most affected by the pandemic

Most of the new cases have been reported in the capital and Cluj County, and more than 300 new diseases have been registered in six other counties. Therefore, the Municipality of Bucharest approved a total of 45,000 cases, reaching 45,741, after a further 946 cases were reported on Wednesday 11 November.

In the last 24 hours, 4,489 calls have been recorded to the single emergency number 112 and 843 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), which is mainly open to inform citizens.


Over 8,400 fines for non-compliance with anti-pandemic measures

Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and counter the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 10 this year, 8,475 fines, for a total of 1,237,685 lei.
Furthermore, through the competent police structures, 8 crimes were ascertained yesterday for combating the fight against diseases, an act provided and punished by art. 352 criminal code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be reported.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified aspects.

Romanians abroad

As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,862 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in Great Britain, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one each in Argentina,

Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.

Among Romanian citizens confirmed with novel coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Coronavirus record in Romania

The highest number of daily cases to date was reported on November 6, 2020. No less than 10,260 new infections were registered in 24 hours.

On October 23, the largest number of tests was performed: 41,238, in 24 hours.

The highest death toll was recorded on November 10, 2020. Authorities later reported that 177 Romanians have died from the coronavirus.

On 10 November 2020, the highest number of patients admitted to the ICU was reported (1,093).

Worldwide, over 51 million people have been confirmed with the new coronavirus. Another 1.3 million died from COVID-19.

Of the more than 14 million active cases, more than 53,000 patients are in serious condition.

The most affected nations in the world are the United States, India and Brazil.

Romania ranks 29th in the world for number of infections, according to centralized data on the worldometers.info platform.
