As the New York Times writes, the mass test is said to have been ordered due to five reported cases related to the airport. The videos quickly disappeared from WeChat and Weibo, both Chinese social media platforms.

The crowd should have been quickly brought under control. Shanghai police released images showing an orderly trial. “Right now everything is normal and there is an orderly queue for testing,” writes The Paper, a Shanghai-based news site.
