The results are announced after counting the votes of 92 of the 139 polling stations organized abroad (66, 19 per cent), or the votes cast by 140,922 voters, about as many who voted in the first round in the diaspora.

As some polling stations are still open, Maia Sandu is expected to receive even more votes by the morning.
