The family of former Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is prosecuting famous soap opera actress Regina Duarte for moral damages.

For its part, the defense of the actress ensures that the message on the Internet was not hers and that she only reproduced it. Duarte commented that he canceled it as soon as it became clear that Marisa did not have 256 million reais in the bank and did not commit any abuse.
He claimed to the court that he only made an “intellectual criticism”.
For the former governor’s jurists, the artist was frivolous in publishing the post without conducting any investigation or at least listening to the former head of state and his relatives.

His acceptance as Secretary of Culture for a short time (March 4 to May 20) was also controversial within the artistic milieu due to his profile associated with advocating conservative agendas in politics and neoliberal measures in economics. .
