When he was just 21 years old (2010), Lucero Guadalupe Sánchez met Joaquín and Chapo & # 39; Guzmán. At that moment his life changed: he was involved with the boss and entered the world of drug trafficking.
This Thursday, during his speech in the trial against Guzmán, in the United States, Sanchez, who is currently 29 years old and was a deputy of the state of Sinaloa, confirmed the relationship, which occurred when the chief was already married to his current wife, Emma Coronel.
"I was confused with my feelings, sometimes I wanted it and sometimes not, because of its different attitudes I always tried to make it happy," he said.
Your political life
Sánchez, known by the nickname "Chapodiputada", was born in Cosalá, a city of Sinaloa. He studied law and served as director of sales for a real estate company.
In 2013, at age 24 and with "Chapo" already in his life, he began his political career. He received support from the Sinaloense (PAS), National Action (PAN), Democratic Revolution (PRD) and Labor Party (PT) parties and was elected as the youngest deputy in the state of Sinaloa, with 4,167 votes.
She worked as a legislator between 2014 and 2016, but lost her place in June 2016: the Mexican Congress voted to open an investigation for the falsification of documents.
The charges against Sánchez date back to 2014, when he used an identification in the name of Devany Vianey Villatoro Pérez to visit the "Chapo" in El Altiplano prison.
The relationship with the "Chapo"
According to the United States Attorney's Office, based on several messages, Guzmán and Sánchez referred to each other as "love".
During his testimony at the trial, Sanchez said that the "Chapo" sent it to the area known as the "Gold Triangle" (between the Mexican states of Chihuahua, Sinaloa and Durango) to buy marijuana for him, since she had lived in these communities and would have had facilities for this.
After buying the drug, the woman sent the packages of the head of 10 kilos, which marked with a personal touch: the hearts.
"I was confused with my feelings, sometimes I wanted it and sometimes not, because of its different attitudes I always tried to make it happy".
He said one of the disadvantages of working in the "Gold Triangle" was that he had to climb every morning and every afternoon on a hill to receive a telephone signal and receive messages with the orders of the drug dealer.
And he recalled that in 2014, together with Guzmán and two of its workers, he had to run naked through a pipe in a house located in the town of Culiacánbecause the DEA and the Mexican Navy had arrived on the spot.
Currently the "Chapodiputada" is in detention. She was arrested in June 2017 while trying to cross the border with the United States. He pleaded guilty to drug trafficking in a Washington court last year and now awaits the conviction.
