LIVE | More than 87 deaths and 4,868 new cases of covid-19 were recorded

A further 4,868 cases of the new coronavirus have been confirmed in the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic to 290,706. In the same period, 87 deaths from covid-19 were recorded. In total, 4,363 people died from covid-19 in Portugal. There are now three more people in intensive care, a total of 529. The total number of infected people hospitalized, however, has dropped to 3,155, with 53 fewer hospitalized patients.
