Through its Twitter account, the Puebla Group, an alliance made up of prominent progressive figures from 15 countries, has called on the international community to protect the democratic and popular process in Bolivia.
Similarly, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said that attempts at destabilization will fail to undermine the historic victory of the Bolivian people by re-electing the Movement for Socialism (MAS).

Ernesto Samper, former president of Colombia, said the attack is nothing more than an act against democracy and regional peace. “Bolivia has been a land of peace and it will not cease to be due to the insane action of some politically defeated terrorists,” Samper said on Twitter.
The Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, also repudiated the action against Arce, which accused “fascist groups” that are betting on a new military coup.

This is the case of the former president and former foreign minister of Ecuador, Rafael Correa and Ricardo Patiño respectively, and the outgoing president of the Bolivian senate, Eva Copa.
Movement for Socialism spokesman Sebastián Michel told the national press that a group of people detonated a dynamite device in front of the organization’s campaign house in La Paz on Thursday evening. The president-elect held a meeting with members of that winning political force in the October 18 general election.
