POLITICAL CRISIS IN ARMENIA
After the defeat of Karabakh, a political crisis erupted in Armenia. People took to the streets in many cities, especially in the capital Yerevan, and called for Pashinyan’s resignation.
On the day Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he accepted Azerbaijan’s terms, many Armenians broke into the government building and severely beat many officials, including the Assembly President.
Deep cracks occurred in Pashinyan’s toilet. Critical figures such as Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan and Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan have resigned from their posts.
Another 15 days were granted
The Azerbaijani army entered Aghdam, the first region Armenia agreed to withdraw from, on 20 November. The agreement also provides for the Lachin region to be returned by 1 December.
The deadline for the transfer of Kelbajar’s Armenia to Azerbaijan was expiring on November 15th. However, the Baku administration accepted the Armenian side’s request to extend the handover of control and extended the period to November 25.
