Mehmet Coşgun, one of the Turks who was injured in the attack by pro-Armenian protesters in the city of Isere in southeastern France, said the police on the spot did not intervene and went to the hospital by their own means after the ambulance did not arrive even though they waited half an hour.

According to AA reports, Coşgun, a 24-year-old French citizen, said that when they started work around 8:00 am, they saw Armenians close the highway to protest.
Coşgun said: “We were 5-6 people of Turkish origin. We went to their relatives so that the demonstrators would not burn the Turkish flag.”

Mehmet Coşgun, who said the protesters, around 300-400 people, insulted President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish nation, said his father went in front of the protesters and began explaining that President Erdogan was a good person.

Coşgun said he was trying to protect his father, whom the Armenians had cornered and beaten, and called his brother for help.

Stating that he and his brother were among the protesters and were beaten, Coşgun said: “There were police at the scene but they did not intervene. We got up alone, we ran away. We waited for the ambulance, it hasn’t arrived for half an hour. Then they said that the road was open, we passed by our means. My father Dilaver and my brother Yunus Emre were not good, I drove the vehicle ”. Mehmet Coşgun noted that he saw 4-5 ambulances near the Armenian demonstrators.
“FRANCE DID NOT CONTACT US”
Coşgun said he had contacted the Turkish consulate in Lyon and that the French authorities had not contacted them until now and that his seriously injured brother had been treated in hospital.
CURSED ATTACK IN LYON
After the ferocious attack, hundreds of Turks living in the Lyon region came out to protest the attack. In the video on social media, Turkish expatriates living in the Viennese density and Le Peage-de-Roussillon gathered by hundreds of activists flying the Turkish flag marched chanting slogans to protest the attack. The expatriates, cursing the incident, silently dispersed.
