US President Donald Trump, in his post on his social media account, announced that Defense Minister Mark Esper has suspended his post.
Thanking Esper for his services, Trump stated that Esper’s replacement will be Christopher C. Miller, Director of the National Counterterrorism Center.

President Trump said, “I am pleased to announce that Christopher C. Miller, the highly respected director of the National Anti-Terrorism Center (unanimously approved by the Senate), will become Deputy Secretary of Defense effective immediately. Chris will do a great job! Mark Esper was fired. I thank him for his services ”.
