While Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s declaration of victory over Armenia was greeted with great joy across the country, Armenia was mixed. After the declaration by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that he had lost the war against Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh, some groups in Yerevan took to the streets and raided the Parliament building and the office of the Prime Ministry.

THE STATE OF HEALTH OF MIZOYAN CRITICAL

Ararat Mirzoyan, president of the Armenian parliament, was lynched by demonstrators in front of the parliament building. Protesters took Mirzoyan out of his car and beat him. It was claimed that Mirzoyan’s bodyguards could not prevent the attack. Mirzoyan, also insulted by the angry crowd, was hospitalized in critical condition.

After images of Mirzoyan’s beating were posted on the internet, the Armenian Interior Ministry confirmed the incident. While it was alleged that Mirzoyan was being treated in hospital, Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan said on his social media account that 2 people linked to the incident were arrested.
