Muallim, 79, has been the regime’s foreign minister since February 11, 2006. Muallim has drawn attention as one of the Assad regime’s biggest supporters in the civil war in Syria.
According to AA news; Born in 1941 in the capital Damascus, Muallim was in the ranks of the regime as Syria’s ambassador to the United States between 1990 and 1999.
