AMMONNEWS – Foreign and expatriate minister, Ayman Safadi Saturday, welcomed the signing of an important power-sharing agreement by Sudan's military and civilian leaders, signaling a new chapter after months of popular protests.

According to the agreement, signed by the military council in power and the opposition Freedom and Change Alliance, a joint council would be established that will govern until the elections to be held in three years.

Al-Safadi offered his best wishes to the brothers of Sudan for signing the interim agreement, which heralds a new era, wishing the "fraternal people of Sudan to entrench democracy and achieve security, security and fulfillment".
