January 14 (JUBA) – The international community is now willing to support the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement, the Sudanese government spokesman announced on Monday.

Michael Makuei told reporters that the Troika countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom and Norway, responded positively to Juba's appeal to support the process of implementing the peace agreement mediated by the # 39; IGAD.

"They are responding positively and are just waiting for them to be used with our budget," said Makuei.

He stressed that the commitment that the peace partners have shown to sign and their efforts to create an environment conducive to its implementation have convinced them of their seriousness in reconciling.

Two days ago, SPLA-IO spokesman Lam Paul Gabriel said the Joint Military Board (JMB) decided to set up a pilot project for the provisioning and training of troops to form the future unified national army.

He stressed that they made this decision because the international community does not want to support the implementation of the security provisions, so they decided to do what they can do to implement this crucial passage of the pre-transitional provisions.

Minister Makuei has revealed that his government has already prepared a budget of the transitional government of national unity (TGoNU) which will be inaugurated next May.

He added that only the implementation of the security agreements requires about 60 million US dollars.

The JMB agreed to form 11 army divisions, 3 national security divisions and about 3 divisions for the national police, including other organized units.

The Troika countries that supported the peace process showed some reservations and concerns about the revitalized peace agreement.

They emphasized in particular the flow and unfinished issues in the security provisions and in particular the process of unification of forces that requires special attention.
