Huge increase in new coronavirus cases in Romania. New death record. There are over 1,000 patients in ATI

Romania sets new negative records in the fight against COVID-19. In the last day alone, 8,651 new cases were detected, almost a thousand more than the previous balance, out of a total of 35,964 tests. The number of people who died in 24 hours is the highest so far: 146 deaths, and even in intensive care it is a record number: 1,001 patients.

To date, on November 4, 267,088 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed in Romania. 186,260 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, 8,651 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) have been recorded, being cases that previously had not had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality and of the counties of Bucharest. Below is the graph created on the basis of the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Departments:

To date, 7,419 people have died diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Between 03.11.2020 (10:00) – 04.11.2020 (10:00), 146 deaths (77 men and 69 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iainți, Tulfrancarest and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the 20-29 age group, 7 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 13 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 26 deaths in the 60- 69 age group, 51 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 48 deaths in the over 80 age group.

138 of the recorded deaths concern some patients with comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not have comorbidities and for 4 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 11,867. Of these, 1,001 are hospitalized at the ATI.

To date, 3,341,867 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 35,964 were performed in the past 24 hours, 21,808 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 14,156 on request.

Furthermore, from the latest information provided by GCS, the results of 594 tests processed before the last 24 hours and submitted by November 4th were reported.

In Romania, 33,630 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in home isolation and 11,373 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 59,339 people are in home quarantine and 18 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3,410 calls were recorded to the single emergency number 112 and 1,265 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), which was mainly open to inform citizens.

Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmerie have applied, in the last 24 hours, 7,062 penalties for minor crimes, for an amount of 930,022 lei.

In addition, yesterday 5 crimes were ascertained through the competent police structures to combat the fight against diseases, an act envisaged and punished by art. 352 criminal code.

“We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the health protection regulations can be reported. The tenders are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified aspects ”, says GCS.

As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,853 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 159 in the United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
