On Friday, Biden increased the lead in four of the six states that are still finishing counting the votes.
In Pennsylvania, a potentially decisive state, the Democrat has managed to reverse the advantages and is standing in front of the American president at a time of 96 percent of the vote. Biden leads with 49.6% of the vote, but Trump is right behind with 41.1%. The difference between the two candidates is just over 28 thousand votes.
This is a decisive state, as he contributed 20 votes to the constituency, enough for Biden to reach 270 delegates and be elected president.. In turn, for Trump, who remains with 213 electoral votes, losing Pennsylvania means being automatically excluded from the face-to-face race, since he will not be able to elect the 270 delegates even if he wins in the other states.
In addition to Pennsylvania, there are three other decisive states: Georgia, Arizona and Nevada. If Biden doesn’t win in Pennsylvania, he will have to win at least two of these states where he continues with an advantage. However, the difference in grades between the two candidates is minimal.
Above Georgia, the results should be known at any time, with 99% of the votes counted. Biden leads in this traditionally Republican state, which contributes 16 votes to the Electoral College. But the difference between the two candidates is only seven thousand votes. If Biden wins here, he also guarantees victory, with the exact 270 delegates needed.
No Arizona, 95 percent of the votes are counted. Biden leads with 49.6 of the votes and Trump lags behind with 48.6%. In the last few hours, Trump has managed to reduce the disadvantage, which has dropped to less than 30,000 votes. However, it is unclear whether there is enough room for the US president to overtake his rival, with 235,000 votes yet to be counted.
No Nevada, the counting of votes is delayed, with 93% of the ballots counted. Biden maintains the lead, with an additional 0.8 percent of the vote, equal to approximately 23,000 votes.
Two other states remain, where all the bulletins remain to be counted: Alaska and North Carolina. In both, Trump takes advantage of it. In Alaska, where there was still only 47 percent of the vote, Trump is leading with a big advantage and will be the likely winner: 62.9 percent of the vote. In North Carolina, 98% of the votes are counted, and Trump leads by a margin of over 76,000 votes.
If Trump wins in these two states, he adds 18 votes to Electoral College, which is insufficient to renew his term in the White House. It will therefore have to turn Pennsylvania red and in any case “steal” two of the decisive states in which Biden takes advantage of it: Georgia, Arizona or Nevada.
