“Hi, Greta!” How two pranksters got Justin Trudeau to talk to Greta Thunberg on the phone

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was tricked into talking on the phone with environmental activist Greta Thunberg when, in fact, on the other end of the line was a famous pair of Russian pranksters who specialize in these telephone jokes. Trudeau has therefore joined a growing list of public figures who have fallen into the trap of the two impostors, informs the BBC.

The audio recording of the conversation between Trudeau and the jokers Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexei Stoliarov (who pretended to be Greta Thunberg) was recently released by the two Russians.

Justin Trudeau, after falling in the race of the two, spoke to the “fake Greta” of NATO, world peace and Donald Trump.

The prime minister’s spokesperson said when Trudeau was caught not speaking to the real Greta Thunberg, he ended the call.

“Hi, Greta!” Trudeau is heard at the beginning of the conversation.

“I understand that you have a lot of work to do and you don’t have much time for a little girl, but know that I am very worried about the amplification of the current international crisis”, came the replica of the fake Greta Thunberg, played by the two jokers.

The conversation took place earlier this year, just days after the Iranian military accidentally shot down a Ukrainian plane, a disaster that killed all 176 people on board, including 57 Canadians.

In the telephone conversation, Trudeau stated that he had received many phone calls on this subject.

The two pranksters then replied to the Prime Minister of Canada that “although he and the other world leaders are adults, they behave like children” and expressed the following wishes:

“Leave NATO, give up your weapons, pick some flowers and smile at nature”

In a calm tone, apparently indifferent to the strange expressions and words chosen by his interlocutors, Trudeau congratulates the false Thunberg on his “passionate” words.

The pranksters asked the Canadian head of government, including his collaboration with Donald Trump, and Trudeau replied that his job was “to collaborate with world leaders elected by their peoples.”

Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexei Stoliarov are two Russian pranksters who in the past have deceived Elton John, Prince Harry and current US Vice President-elect Kamal Harris.

Critics of Kuznetsov and Stoliarov claim they have ties to Russian secret services, an accusation rejected by the two.
