Teachers’ Day is a day of celebration where various events are held to honor those who practice the teaching profession.

In many countries, October 5 has been celebrated every year since 1994 as Teachers’ Day, on the recommendation of UNESCO. On 5 October 1966, the “Special Intergovernmental Conference on the Status of Teachers” and the unanimous acceptance of the “Recommendation on the Status of Teachers” by UNESCO and ILO representatives ended in Paris.
